APPLE CIDAR VINEGAR , OLIVE OIL, & CLARIFYING SHAMPOO : Tool kit for healthy hair success
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinses are one of most cost-effective and beneficial ways in existence to improve hair health. A good ACV rinse can remove product buildup, restore the pH balance of the scalp and hair, promote blood circulation in the scalp--which can stimulate new hair growth--and give the hair a soft, healthy sheen.
For maximum benefit, some proponents advocate use of only raw, organic and unfiltered vinegar rather than the "sparkling clear" vinegar you usually find on the grocery store shelves. And some individuals also choose to add a base including additional ingredients such as aloe vera, agave nectar, essentials oils, etc. to their ACV rinses as well.
Caution: ACV is an acid and over 100 times more acidic than your hair... SO BE CAREFUL. Acids can and will start to degrade your hair shaft with overuse, so pay strict attention to your hair's reaction to frequent ACV rinse use.
Depending on your hair texture and porosity, you may be able to support a greater amount/frequency of usage than others can, but please judge your needs carefully.
I usually advise one part apple cider vinegar for every 3 parts of water. You can make adjustments as needed for your hair type.
CLARIFYING SHAMPOO
Clarifying shampoo is simply any non color based gentle shampoo that does not leave build up in the hair.A clarifying shampoo can help remove deposits of waxes, chemicals, and other buildup to give your hair a fresh start, and restore shine. The type of shampoo can be found at any hair supply store and is usually on the inexpensive side. Some brands being as low as 99 cents.
OLIVE OIL
Once the cleaning and conditioned process is complete , most hair types are served well by added a non petroleum based moisturizer . My personal favorite is olive oil ( yep that stuff you cook with). You can add as much or as little as you need for your hair type. The basis for using this type of moisturizer instead of others is the fact that many greases/waxes/pomades actually clog hair's pores leaving buildup and hinders the growing process. Olive oil ( canola oil has a similar effect) is gentle and moisturizes the hair with out all the negative side effects. You can even add small drop of your favorite fragrance to add a little kick to your hair style. Heck some even use olive oil as an effective body moisturizer as well.:)
Now that you have the basic tool kit for healthy hair, RUN.... BE FREE....and ENJOY the marvels of such simplicity and loads of money saved by sticking to the basic yet effective ways of taking care of the Natural you:)

How to keep a positive attitude in 6 ways :)
1. Give thanks for each day.
Whether you say it to yourself or pray about it, express gratitude for all the things you take for granted, including your place to live, family, employment, clothes, neighbors, transportation, education, sunshine, food choices, health, and freedom. 2. Count your personal blessings.
In addition to general gratitude, look for personal benefits in your life. These could include things like a clear mind, a fit body, nice furniture, a social life, leisure time, trustworthy friends, health care insurance, entertainment opportunities, and a host of other things that you wouldn’t notice unless they were taken from you.
There are plenty of good deeds waiting to be done by caring people like you. The surprising backlash is you will feel better about yourself and the world at large, too
4. Forgive an old hurt.
You will feel empowered by your ability to demonstrate strength of character in humility and forgiveness, which can open the door to restored relations and help you feel better about your magnanimous actions.
5. Compliment someone.
When you feel truly lousy and just don’t want to be bothered, say something nice to the next person you see, assuming it isn’t someone to avoid. Making a positive statement about a person’s appearance, attitude, health, or job performance can help him or her feel better, and you will feel good, too, for improving that person’s day.
6. Smile!
Whenever you get a case of the grumps, look in the mirror and smile!
Even when you’re sick, angry, or sad, remember to smile as you catch others’ glances at work, in the supermarket, and especially at home among your loved ones. A smile is contagious and promotes good will as well as a favorable impression of the one wearing it.Saturday, May 7, 2011
